The UC Humanities Research Institute Bibliographies

The University of California Humanities Research Institute was established on the Irvine campus in 1987 by the University of California Office of the President. Its objective is to promote collaborative research among University of California scholars and their national and international colleagues. Scholars organize in research groups, usually with one or two groups of 8-10 fellows each in residence every quarter of the academic year. In addition, the UC Humanities Research Institute sponsors between eight and ten conferences on the UC campuses annually to promote advanced research in the Humanities. Successful conferences often lead to the formation of a research group, and research groups occasionally finish their work by holding a public conference.

Dr. Yeghiayan has prepared selective bibliographies for many of these conferences with the intention of introducing the scholars in attendance to one another's work. Typically, these documents listed the major works to date of the participants along with a limited amount of secondary material. Because these bibliographies were conceived as integral parts of the conference proceedings, their contents have not been updated since the date of the conference.
